Economic and logistic features of the strategy of the development of the ports of the arctic (northern) basin

The article describes the current problems of the development of the ports of the Northern Basin, the causes and consequences of this situation. Also, attention is paid to the prospects for using the Northern Sea Route within the framework of the Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation and the Strategy for the Development of the Sea Port Infrastructure until 2030. The strategic importance of the Northern Sea Route is particularly emphasized. In addition, an analysis was made of the activities of the ports of the Arctic basin, taking into account the future forecast dynamics of their development. This article contains an analysis of the ports of the Arctic (Northern) basin. The main problems are indicated, their characteristics are given, and prospects for strategic development are predicted. Estimated turnover dynamics of the 10 largest ports in the Arctic basin. The forecast of the possible development of the northern ports according to the “Rotterdam model” is given.
