The economic studies of the problems of electrification of the soviet far east in the late 1940s - early 1960s

The article analyzes economic studies of the problems of electrification of the Soviet Far East, conducted in the late 1940s and early 1960s. The beginning of the practical implementation of the economic development program for the eastern regions, the complex expeditions of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and the restoration of its Far Eastern branch raised the economic studies in the region to the academic level. The economists of the 1950s studied the problems of electrification of all territories within the Soviet Far East, developed projects for their energy supply, and prepared dozens of scientific and analytical reports. ideas, projects and research achievements of the 1950s made possible the formulation of the state strategy for the development of the Far Eastern electric power industry for the decades from the 1960s to the 1980s.
