This article analyzes the current controversial issues of the application of criminal law in relation to organized crime. The article considers the relevance of the adoption of legislative measures to improve the criminal legislation in this area. The article analyzes the practice of applying criminal legislation in relation to the financial activities of criminal groups at the present time and the prospects for improving the legislation. The characteristic economic features of organized crime activities are summarized.
