Cotton is grown for fiber and food. Large-scale work is being carried out in Turkmenistan to develop the cotton sector of the country's agriculture and increase cotton production. To increase cotton yields, the soil must be enriched with fertilizer. The main part of the fertilizer use system is the correct determination of fertilizer rates, rules and timing of their application. In addition to local fertilizers, it is necessary to use mineral fertilizers. Mineral fertilizers are applied to agricultural crops in the fall and early spring before sowing, and also as top dressing in late spring and summer. Cotton growing plays an important role in the formation of the country's agriculture, providing raw materials to industries, and creating favorable conditions for solving economic and social problems. In total, more than 150 types of products are produced from cotton.
