Economy of the Republic of Buryatia in territorial aspect

The analysis of the spatial development of the Republic of Buryatia has revealed imbalances in the economy concerned with the uneven distribution of investments in fixed assets. The weakening of the positive trends and factors that ensure sustainable economic growth led to a sharp decline in investment growth rates in the economy of the republic in recent years, to deterioration of the dynamics of industrial and agricultural production. Aligning of the spatial and economic structure of the region needs investment and state supportinagri culture which is a major sector of the economy in the most subregions, because of poor support of industry by raw materials and population by basic food of own production and because of decrease in number and poor living conditions of the rural population. As a socially important sector of the economy, the agricultural and industrial complex needs the development by the organizational, economic, technical, technological and other measures to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the agroindustrial production.
