Russian economy: a look into the future

The article analyzes the dynamics of economic indicators of foreign trade activity. The structure of exports of goods of the fuel and energy complex of Russia in 2020, as well as the structure of imports, is considered. The forecast of development of export-import operations in Russia for certain categories of goods is made. It is revealed that the decrease in exports of fuel and energy products by the end of 2020 will decrease by an average of 9.6 % and as a result will lead to a decrease in export customs duties by an average of 20-25 %. In other words, the emerging negative trend in the volume of exports of the main product groups will lead to a decrease in the amount of payments administered by the customs authorities. This, in turn, will lead to a reduction in the revenue side of the Federal budget. The analysis of the impact of the Institute of customs payments in ensuring the competitiveness of the Russian economy allowed us to comprehensively consider the development of Russia’s foreign economic activity as one of the main factors influencing the strengthening of the country’s economy. In this case, the customs payment was considered as a tool that allows you to control the volume of foreign trade and regulate them with the help of rates in the right direction, regardless of the global economic situation. In this regard, the significance of the institution of customs payments was justified and proved.
