Modern tourist market is influenced by new trends reflecting the changes, which take place in the economy and sociocultural sphere. The experience economy is considered by researchers as a new stage of economic development, when next to goods and services on the market there will be a supply of “experiences”, interest in which will inevitably increase. All areas of experiences selected by B. Joseph Pine II and James Gilmore - entertainment, educational, “escape from reality” or escapist, esthetics - can be used in tourism. In the first place, this is connected with the development of special types of tourism that attract travelers with the uniqueness of their proposals. Jewelry tourism, existing in tourist practices, is still little studied in tourism. The article analyses the conceptual framework used for the jewelry characteristics of tourism and its subtypes, for example mineralogical tourism, gemological tourism and other. The objects of tourist interest in jewelry tourism can be mines of precious metals and minerals, jewelry production and workshops, museums, exhibition halls, specialty stores, auctions, showrooms...
