The national security and the quality of population’s life largely depend on its food security. The inadequacy or the dependence on imports can lead to serious sociopolitical consequences. The ensuring food security of Russia is an important component of modern public policy, as well as the main component of national security. The prospective aim of food security is to meet the needs of the population in sufficient quality and safe products.
