Ecosystems as a global trend in the digitalization of the economic space

The rapid processes of digitalization of the economic space actualize research on the implementation of modern strategies for innovative development of high-tech industries. Of scholarly importance are works concerning the spread of digital ecosystems and platform solutions, which allow for competitive advantages by uniting the efforts of system participants around a high-tech company as the nucleus of organizational interaction. The proliferation of innovative services and technologies in the economic environment actualizes the task of choosing business models that contribute to strengthening and expanding the competitive position for companies that use them. From this point of view, the issue of research on the creation and scaling of digital ecosystems is timely and highly relevant. The composition of the key characteristics of the digital ecosystem (networking, specialization, complementarity, complementarianism, joint value creation, co-evolution, technological interdependence) is determined, the distinctive feature of which is the emphasis on the symbiotic interaction of participants, contributing to the development of each of them in the direction of maintaining the viability of the ecosystem. The understanding of the functionality of the actors of the digital environment, implemented through their additive participation, has been supplemented, which supports the stability of this ecosystem, provides productivity gains and enhances the possibilities of collective value creation.
