Ecological and toxicological analysis of the polar hare (Lepus timidus L.) trophic chain in the Taimyr tundra-forest

Data on the heavy metal availability in the polar hare basic forage on Taimyr are given in the article. The analysis of consumed forage in various biotopes and various distances from Norilsk industrial complex is conducted. Dynamics of heavy metal accumulation in the hare organism on the year seasons is considered. It is offered to use this species of animals as environment pollution indicator in the Far North conditions.
