Ecotourism: positive impact on the economy and the environment

With the active development of the tourism industry and increasing attention to environmental problems, interest in such a direction as eco-tourism has increased. This article examines the negative impact of classical tourism on the environment, the need for the development of ecotourism, discusses in more detail the definition and principles of this phenomenon, its positive impact on the environment and the economy. The process of ecotourism development in Russia, state support for eco- and agrotourism, its impact on the expansion of protected areas and the potential contribution of ecotourism to the economy are also being investigated. The purpose of the article is to analyze the positive impact of ecotourism on ecology and economy and to identify the interaction between ecotourism and the economy.
