Sustainable architecture as one of the probable solutions of environmental problems in Antarctica

This article is considered about environmental problems of such important element of an ecosystem of the planet as Antarctic. This ice continent conceals not only minerals and world reserves of drinking water, but also it is important as a climate factor on the planet. Therefore, the modern environmental problems caused by research activity on the territory of the continent require urgent solutions. At the moment as one of the ways of fight against incessantly worsening ecological situation, that we offers, is creation and use of buildings and constructions by the principles of «sustainable architecture" that, undoubtedly, has to slow down deterioration in ecological crisis on the continent. We studied "sustainable" technologies which minimize influence of the person on the environment and are able to achieve positive results in our aims. To see how sustainable architecture works in details we choose the Belgian Antarctic station "Princess Elizabeth" as an example
