The screen adaptation of the Strugatski brothers and development of Russian cinema

In the second half of the 60s in the top ten of the best works of science fiction turned out to be four novel by the Strugatski brothers, which was ahead for its popularity such as science fiction writers like Stanislaw Lem, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury and others. It would seem that they are a direct path to the screen, especially because in these years the film increasingly began to master the genre of science fiction, especially with the development of computer technology. But in reality the evolution of society and culture only once the filmmakers used this technology to screen development texts Strugatski. While philosophical works of these authors drew such famous masters as Andrey Tarkovsky,Alexandr Sokurov,Aleksei German.Analysis of their films and works by other filmmakers of the late XX - beginning of XXI century shows that the work of Arkady and Boris Strugatski, despite the identity of their works to the genre of science fiction, is an integral component of true art, and any reference to the text Strugatski in the framework of mass culture is nothing more than a superficial borrowing of popular storylines.
