The paper studies sociological views on interaction between tradition and the present, on violent modernization and implementation of capitalism accepted in the doctrines of M. Weber and some of his followers. The ratio of Weber ideas to Marxism and industrial constructivism is established. Weber's ideas are compared with postulates of Marxism and industrial constructivism. The article established that Weber's, Marxist and M. Weber's conventional connubium concept as a special form of interethnic unity had much in common. The concept of conventional connubium, having been rather new in the first third of the 20th century, nevertheless, is very far from the idea of socio-cultural integration.
