The expedition I. G. Gran"o on Southern Altai in 1909

The article analyzes the results of the expedition to the southern regions of Altai, which is made by Johannes Gabriel Granö in 1909 on the instructions of the Finno-Ugric society. I. G. Granö is the scientist-geographer from Finland, then part of this period in the Russia Empire. The archaeological objects found out, described and sketched by him revealed during passage of a forwarding route on territory of modern Kazakhstan and Russian Altai are investigated. The archaeological materials collected by I. G. Granö are considered, and the contribution of this researcher to studying archaeological objects to Southern Siberia is interpret from modern scientific positions.
