Experimental substantiation of strength criteria for frp showing directional type of fracture

Бесплатный доступ

FRP (fiber-reinforced-plastics) with weak polymeric matrix and/or fiber-matrix interface demonstrate some specific directional modes of failure behavior (delamination, splitting, failure along the fibers, kink, etc.) and to describe numerically these failure modes it is necessary to use some non-traditional approaches, new specific models of fracture processes and strength criteria taking into account the normal-shear stresses interaction on the fracture planes. It's shown that using simple linear fracture criteria it's possible to understand the experimental data more correctly. The application of new proposed FRP fracture criteria makes it possible to estimate experimentally some structure integrity parameters being used in more correct design of composite elements of constructions.
