Extrapolation as linguo-philosophical category and way of forming the language picture of the world

The article considers one of the principles of human thinking and manifestation of rational activity of a human being as a biological species named extrapolation as the method of forming the linguistic world. The development of extrapolation of ancient Slavs results in the deviation from the objective way of thinking and in the progress of abstractness and relativeness in the language system. This process in general defined the formation of the metonymical and metaphorical types of changes in the semantic structure of words and defined the vector direction of the semantic system of the Russian language on the whole.
