Extremism among young people: challenges and ways to overcome them (with the Republic of Tatarstan materials)

Introduction: the article is devoted to the study of the challenges related to manifestations of extremism in students, and the development of proposals for their solution based on the judicial experience of the Republic of Tatarstan. Materials and Methods: general scientific and specific scientific methods of cognition provided the methodological basis for this study, in particular, the dialectical-materialistic method, comparative legal and logical methods. The current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, the activities of state authorities, public associations and civil society institutions to counter the manifestations of extremism and the extreme form of their implementation - terrorism, as well as published scientific works on study issues provided the empirical basis for this study. Results: the authors identified circumstances that contribute to improving the effectiveness of prevention activities of state authorities and management, and public associations in the above area. Discussions and Conclusions: the authors had proposed the scientific and methodological recommendations for improving the organizational, legal and other foundations for countering the manifestations of extremism and terrorism among the youth.
