Transformer substations (TS) 10/0.4 kV are one of the most important elements of the power supply systems of rural consumers. Many works are devoted to their improvement, however, insufficient attention is paid to the issues of automation of TS. TS 10/0.4 kV are rarely equipped with monitoring and control systems for their equipment. This leads to an unreasonable increase in the time of restoration of power supply to consumers. The development of digitalization of distribution electric networks, especially in rural areas, requires a transition from traditional 10/0.4 kV transformer substations to digital solutions that ensure observability, controllability of TP equipment and reliability of power supply to consumers. The article provides an electrical circuit and substantiates the functional capabilities of a prototype of a digital transformer substation (DTS) 10/0.4 kV, provides the main areas of automation of the DTS and the structure of the functions implemented in this case.
