Cardiac electric field during ventricular depolarization was studied on the body surface of Wistar rats. Uniformity of dynamics of spatial distribution of the areas of positive and negative cardioelectric potentials on the body surface of rats aged from 1 to 30 days was revealed. On the basis of spatial dynamics of the body surface cardiac electric field three stages of initial ventricular activity were determined which durations changed differently during the early postnatal ontogenesis.
