This paper examines the detection, prevention, disclosure, and investigation of environmental crimes using digital technologies. The author argues that modern technologies canfacilitate a number of forensic tasks, including the creation of an electronic archive of criminal cases and the analysis of environmental crimes based on these archives. These crimes are similar in method (handwriting), weapons, traces, and staging; are serial; and are committed by organized criminal groups. Electronic investigation technologies and modern forensic support can provide citizens with access to criminal case materials in cases established by law; reduce investigation time; facilitate work planning; increase productivity; reduce the costs of processing, storing, and copying documents; and simplify the preparation of statistical reports. It is believed that the electronic disclosure and investigation of environmental crimes is only at the beginning of its development. However, this should be considered a promising direction for the modernization of criminal procedural and operational investigative activities through the use of modern technologies and information systems to solve these problems.
