Electronic banking among banking services

The authors consider the concept of electronic banking and its place among modern banking services. After analysing the stages of emergence of electronic banking in a critical manner, they define it with the help of the categories of “distanced banking servicing” and “electronic banking services”. The economic essence of this phenomenon is best described as ‘electronic banking’ as a technology of providing financial services which allows the service provider and the client (consumer) to interact with the help of informational and telecommunication systems while being legally and technically protected from allied bank risks.
