Emotional determinants of small groups’ cohesion

The article analyzes the main approaches to the study of group cohesion in the context of emotion component. The author presents the results of the empirical research dealing with the emotional determinants of cohesion in small groups. The research has identified the new mechanisms of cohesion formation, and has shown the crucial role of the emotional regulation of the group in the dynamics of its cohesion.
