The paper presents the results of endoscopic treatment of 126 patients with esophageal cancer who were previously untreated with the combined or surgical treatments due to concomitant diseases. Endoscopic recanalization was the alternative to gastrostoma in patients with stenotic cancer. Electrocoagulation, argonoplasmatic destruction and photodynamic therapy were used. Complete regression was observed in 71% of cases with superficial cancer (TiNoMo), the median survival rate was 3 years and 8 months. Complete regression was achieved in 45% of cases with T2NoMo stage cancer. Recanalization was observed in 96% of patients with stenotic esophageal cancer. Endoscopic recanalization followed by endoprosthesis with stents was the most effective.
