The materials of steppe-forest aeneolithic and the origins of Volosovskaya and Garinsko-Borskaya cultures of the Middle Volga region

The article is devoted to the problem of the origins of Volosovskaya and Garinsko-Borskaya cultures of the Middle Volga region. The author discusses the materials and radiocarbon data of late Eneolithic of steppe-forest of the Middle Volga and the Lower Kama regions. He argues the presence of Volga-Kamskaya cultural and historical community of the Late Eneolithic in the second half of the IV millennium BC. The contacts between its inhabitans and the population of the Krasnomostovskaya and Novoilinskaya cultures led to the formation of the Volosovskaya and Garinsko-Borskaya cultures.
