Epidemiological data about the stenosis of spinal channelinjury genesis and their importance in the structure of disability and mortality in the Kyrgyz Republic

Ummary: There is a proven relationship between the degree of development of transport infrastructure and the construction industry and the prevalence of injuries, especially road and transport and production. However, in the Kyrgyz Republic, the study of the prevalence of spinal injuries and the degree of influence on the structure of disability and mortality has only recently begun. Aim of our study was the study the prevalence of post-traumatic stenosis in the Kyrgyz Republic for 6 years (2010-2015) and their share in the disability and mortality structure. And the solution of a set of tasks related to the development of new methodological approaches to information and analytical support for the development of vertebrological care in the Kyrgyz Republic and preventive measures to reduce spinal injuries. In the retrospective study, the number of fractures of the lumbar spine for 6 years was 4779 cases - 74.6%, of all fractures of the thoracic and lumbar divisions taken together - 6402, fractures of the thoracic spine amounted to 1623 (25.4%). The death rate from spinal injuries was on the average in the republic - 2.842. For a common country, the disability resulting from the consequences of post-traumatic stenosis of the spinal canal was equal to - 1.8.
