The epistemological asymmetry (the outlines of the polemics between V. S. Soloviov and N. N. Strakhov)

The article presents some results of the author''s research undertaken in the field of the preconditions of the polemics between two major Russian philosophers: V.S. Solovyov and N.N. Strakhov. The subject of this polemics was an original conception of cultural-historical types created by N. Danilevsky. Special attention is paid to the epistemological asymmetry, which arose in the course of the dispute and manifested itself in its stylistic framework.
