The authors give a detailed analysis of esthetic principles and poetics in the essay Giorgione School from The Renaissance by Walter Pater, a 19th century British critic. Attention is given to the genre of this work, its style and composition. The emphasis is made on artistic and critical interpretation of the art of Giorgione and Venetian school in the context of W.Pater's esthetic criticism and artistic culture of the 19th century (G.Ruskin, D.G.Rossetti, O.Wilde).
