Aesthetic functions of song in the «Public songbook» by Alexey Slapovsky

The article reviews genre-compositional originality of the «Open songbook» of contemporary writer Aleksey Slapovsky; refers to poems, prose text of the novel with the tradition of folk song and literary genres (a city romance, an art song, a rock ballad, a song thug). The author focuses on characteristic features of the genre basis: reveals signs of the genre, which have found expression in the text of the novel; studies structural and compositional functions revealing rhythmic and motivic unity of the texts; defines cultural function which allows to relate the events portrayed with the typical situation in the 1990s. Characterological feature allows to enter the originality of the characters; ideological and emotional function allows to understand on the example of playing with syncretic genres the author's intent and identity of the writer's creative manner.
