Aesthetics as a philosophical discipline: the formulation of the problem

The purpose of this article is to describe the features of aesthetics as a branch of philosophical knowledge. The question is raised about aesthetics as a scientific discipline and the relevance of the search for solutions to this issue is determined. Approximate directions of research in modern aesthetics are determined. The explanation of aesthetics as a purely descriptive discipline, as a “science of beauty,” as well as determines the subject of aesthetics.
