Stages of integration of renewable energy sources into the energy system

For several years, many European countries have been introducing renewable energy into the power supply system. Their experience can be useful to those who have just embarked on the path of alternative energy sources in the power supply system. The discussion of RES implementation still often suffers from misconceptions, which can contribute to the slow development of RES. The purpose of the work is to consider the stages of integration of renewable energy sources into the general energy system of the country. The methods of graphical representation of information, methods of statistical analysis, comparison and systematization of data, analysis of regulatory and technical documentation have been used to achieve the goal. The article proposes and describes 4 stages of RES implementation, based on the selected criteria for the distribution of the level of integration. Russia is just beginning its path of introducing renewable energy into the country's energy system. But already at this stage, it is worth considering measures for the further development of this industry in order to reduce the impact of problems arising during the transition to the next stage.
