Stages of development of surgery of pyogenic hand infections and modern approaches to the treatment

In this article, the historical experience and analysis of treatment the patients with pyogenic diseases of the hand during XVIII-XXI centuries are presented. The evolution of the methods and tactics of the treatment has been shown. The dependence between the development of the medical technologies (diagnosis, antibacterial treatment, etc.) and frequency of the number of the complications of the hand infections, progress of the disease, decrease the number of repeated surgical debridement and terms of the healing are identified. The treatment outcomes were analyzed, and the stages of the development of hand surgery were identified, that allowed to show the relevance of the topic at present.
