Stages of the development of Chinese “Green silk road” initiative

This article presents the authors' analysis of the main stages of development and characteristics of the “Green Silk Road” initiative. The approaches of China and Russia to the joint construction of infrastructure in the context of the implementation of the “One Belt, One Road” project are considered. Today's global economic landscape is facing an unprecedented shock in the form of the coronavirus pandemic. International financial markets, global trade and investment practices are under stress. Against this background, the state of the planet environment is steadily deteriorating. At the same time, a new round of industrial and technological development has begun, and the trend towards “structural reconstruction” of the global production chain is obvious. These processes reflect the pressing world problems that need to be solved for the further development of mankind. Undoubtedly, the joint construction of the “Green Silk Road” can potentially provide a lot of opportunities for the development and economic growth of more countries around the world.
