Stages of development of Russian socio-political conservative thought: main ideas and representatives

The article analyzes the views of representatives of Russian conservative socio-political thought from the moment of its emergence up to the present. Russian conservatism is characterized by four main stages of development: the formation stage, the stage of development and substantiation of the uniqueness of the autocratic principle of government, the foreign stage of Russian conservatism and the stage of modernity. Based on the analysis, the paper concludes that representatives of Russian conservative thought defended the ideas of an original path of the development of Russian statehood and its difference from Western European socio-political concepts. The author notes that conservative ideas about a strong centralized state, the idea of the need to study traditional Russian values, and the idea of the identity and uniqueness of Russia's historical development path should be in demand today.
