The stages of formation and development of the theory of innovations

The article considers the basic theoretical developments of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of innovations and determines the stages of development of this theory. The paper notes that at the present stage, innovations are one of the factors of the development of society. The innovative and technological development implies a serious shift in the spheres of economy, politics and society, so there is a need to analyze the views on the theory of innovations, their dynamics over time.
