The ethical control of nanotechnology: the theological view on the modern technology

Tis article describes the current state of «nanotechnology» as science. Afer having briefly said about the appearance, development and future plans of this scientific field, the author deals with some publications, showing different opinions of academics and employees that express the official view on the progressive field of nanotechnology and its impact on the environment and humanity; also, he summarizes some basic moments of the report of the European Commission about the «Human Brain Project» which directly concern moral issues and are responsible for the ethical side of Project. Noticing the participation of the Russian reporter in the development of ethical regulation of nanotechnologies for the EU-countries and other consumer countries, he speaks about the theological aspect and the role of the Church in the preservation of health and life. Te author defines the main component of responsibility for ethical standards and acting in the interests of individual freedom of each person. Also, he shows the position of the Russian Orthodox Church, calling to abide the moral control in all spheres of modern life without exception
