On the example works of I. S. Shmelev the author substantiates the thesis of preserving the concept of the fate of the etymological meanings of God's judgment. It is established that brings together early-scrap ideas about fate and judgment of God came in the category of unpredictability and direct savemode, guilt (sin) and retribution.
