Etimology and structural features of personal names of Chingis-Khan Mongols from the ancient ancest to Alan-Kho

The article considers the genealogy of Genghis Khan from the most ancient ancestor to the foremother Alan-Kho and her husband Dobun-Mergan based on the two written sources: the annals of Rashid-al-Din and Yuan chao bishi (The Secret History). The use of the Scythian- Alanian (Ossetian) language for the first time has allowed us not only to etymologically identify the names themselves, but also to reveal the oldest cults associated with them, to determine social ties and duties of the members of Mongolian society through the line of both Dobun-Mergan and Alan-Kho.
