Ethnic identity and mentality of the southern Altai people in the context of realities of the objective world

The paper is devoted to the reflection of the reality of the objective world in the mentality of one of the indigenous peoples of the Altai Mountains region. The impact of this reality on the various part of the structure of self-consciousness of the ethnic group of Altai-Kizhi is analyzed.
