The ethnocultural aspect of suicidal behavior

The study of ethnocultural characteristics of suicidal behavior in Russia allowed to establish the existence of regional differences in the frequency of suicides, up to 100 times or more (e. g., 100,8 per 100 000 population in Chukotka, and 0,2 per 100 000 - in Chechnya). This distribution is due to specific ethnocultural living in these regions, the indigenous population, which determines the moral and ethical attitude to the possibility of committing suicide, his understanding of normativity, or obscene, potentially ready for the formation of suicidal behavior. The conclusion about the need to introduce ethnocultural approaches to suicide prevention and the provision of assistance in preventive care in the multinational Russia.
