Ethno-cultural and civil components of the sociocultural identity of the contemporary Kalmyk young people (concerning the problem statement)

For the first time ever the author makes an attempt to state a problem of the complex research of the sociocultural identity formation of the contemporary Kalmyk youth. The article defines interpenetrating and interrepeling tendencies in the Kalmyk young people's selfidentification the ethno-cultural one, retreating the Kalmyk into the ethnic specifics, and the civil one, leading the Kalmyk out of the ethnos and identifying him with the all-Russian and universal values. The author introduces a conception of the ethnic civil identity.
