Ethnic myth-creation: ethnopsycholinguistic study of Altaians' identity

The article discusses ethnic and psycholinguistic study of the phenomenon of “ ethnic myth-creation ” in the case of one of the Altai genera of ( Sjook ) Irkit. There are basic sources of myth-creation such as ordinary notions of ethnic about their ethnonym, its origin, the ideas of related ethnos, genus and divisions, ethnic history of their immediate family, myths, legends, traditions prevailing inside ethnos, perceptions of the sacred spirits, totems, talismans, images about their own character, mentality, autoethnic stereotypes
