Ethnic and poetic specificity of prose by K. Tsydenov

The article reviews ethnic and poetic traditions in the prose by K. Tsydenov, defines its worldview aspects shaped in the context of national culture. The author describes the uniqueness of K. Tsydenov's prose, analyzing how it expresses the patterns of the literary process in the 1960s, such as strengthening of the subjective origin, attention to the individual, interest for ethnic worldview. The article reveals the role and the importance of ethnic traditions in solving moral issues by the writer in the story about a deserter, as well as motives and images of traditional beliefs of the Buryats, in particular Buddhist views. The author defined patterns which shape the writer’s attitudes, his interest for the individual, and his mastership in revealing the national character features through literary images. The author comments on the role of traditional values in K. Tsydenov’s concept of human life, of interactions between man and nature; she also describes K. Tsydenov's individual style.
