Basing upon the previous researches and reviewing the hypotheses of leading Tungus scholars, the authors expand the common questions of Tungus and Sakha origin with the new data in the context of ethnogeny of Siberian peoples. The article advances an opinion that the names of the main Yakut families mostly date back to the Tungus ethnonyms. The authors summarize and make an assumption about the relationship of the genesis of Sakha central, basic clans and ethnonyms from the names of Tungus clans and words. The paper explains the origin of the Turkic-speaking Yakuts (based on the Tungus origin of the Yakut ethnonyms, and known Chinese and other written sources of the peoples of the North).
