Evolution of private weapons production in the village of Izevo county Sarapul'skogo Vyatka gubernia. The second half of XIX - beginning of XX century

On the basis of various types of sources the author identified three phases in the evolution of economic forms and intermediate states of private weapons production: small-scale-capitalist cooperation-factory-factory. Wider development of private weapons production have contributed to favorable conditions: the opportunity to acquire the Izhevsk steel producing and arms factories in the production of raw materials, development of forging industry, training skilled gunsmiths in two special educational establishments: Izhevsk Armory and crafts schools, strong demand for izhevskie guns in scale of the Russian market. Through the prism of history of everyday life the author considered vital activity of the three dynasties gunsmiths-manufacturers: Petrovykh, Evdokimovyh, Berezinyh. Social responsibility, professionalism, innovative idea, managerial skills-essential features that determined how successful entrepreneurial activity and high public reputation of elites of Izhevsk gunsmiths. Stability of arms dynasty was determined by crowded households having even 16 children, where boys received the necessary knowledge in the armory school, improved the professional production and sales experience by working in factories, warehouses, stores and so on. Self-sufficiency, a positive assessment of the society gunsmith craft, stability of family traditions contributed to the formation in an environment of residents of Izhevsk the positive attitude to the status of a worker, a rural inhabitant. Forming in the working social environment, rifle masters even after have become known factory owners, cherished this positive attitude, although there were all the necessary conditions for a transition to another, more prestigious class.
