Evolution of water injection pressure during the study of oil flows in the Tshende field (Democratic Republic of Congo)

The study provides information on the Tshiende field, located on the coast of the DRC. The main productive reservoirs of the field come from post-salt formations of Albian age. The possibility of using the water injection method to increase oil production at the field is being considered. By analyzing data from water injection into the Vermelha reservoir, results were obtained showing areas of increased flow, the anticlinal structure of the reservoir and the directions of fluid flow. It is recommended to conduct additional study of reservoir parameters before proceeding with water injection in order to correctly select the location of injection wells for effective hydrocarbon production.
