Evolution of philosophical views on slavery

The article examines the main philosophical views on slavery. It is shown that the understanding of slavery and the attitude to it in different historical periods developed in different ways. Analyzed views on the slavery of such prominent thinkers as Plato, Aristotle, Seneca, Augustine, Hobbes, Spinoza, Locke, Rousseau, and others.
