Foresight evolution: from forecasting and planning to foresight

This article is devoted to Foresight’s evolutionary transformation, it’s methods and areas of use. The study provides a review of research on the mechanisms of Forecasting, Planning and Foresight, an analysis of the distinctive characteristics, features and methods of these mechanisms. In this article, the concepts of researchers on the topic under study are presented, similar methods are identified, and an evolutionary scale is formed. The purpose of the work is to analyze the mechanisms of prevision and identify evolutionary characteristics. The objects of the study are the mechanisms of prevision: Forecasting, Planning and Foresight, and the subject of the study is the Evolution of Foresight. Based on the results of the study, the author in the article created the Foresight Evolution scale, which defines three stages (Foresight, Planning, Foresight), the time frame for using these mechanisms, analyzes the economic theory and methodology of Foresight and its application in modern science, identifies common methods of three mechanisms of foresight, which testify to the transformation and implication of processes.
