The article analyses evolution of migration changes in the territory of Great Britain (from the Roman period to the present time). It shows that migration processes took place at all stages of its historic development. It proves that up to the second half of the 20th century migration processes were the main source of population replenishment in Britain. Impact of the migration inflow affected mostly economy and culture. It has been established that the direct impact of migration on demographic changes should be attributed to the late 20th - early 21st century, when the intensity and scale of migration reached qualitatively new values.
