The evolution of scientific and technological progress in agriculture

This paper considers the evolution of scientific and technological progress in agriculture and its role in economic development of different countries. The main stages of STP characterizing the industry's transition to a new technological environment. Gives a brief description of the evolutionary and revolutionary types of scientific and technical progress in agriculture. The author describes the main problems associated with a reduction in innovative activity in agriculture and efficiency in the USSR and the Russian Federation.
